Monique A. Guion-Kimball
Director of Making Stuff Work

Monique A. Guion-Kimball joined the Sales & Marketing Magic team in 1994. Now "Director of Making Stuff Work", she shares in responsibility for event production, product design and development, content development and approval for all SMM publications, strategically steering the team's creativity toward an effective end result, and pretty much anything that doesn't fit neatly under someone else's hat. A wordsmith by inclination, her personal and professional pursuits of choice revolve around the written word. Before joining SMM, Mo served as both a uniformed and civilian member of the U.S. Navy's Logistics team... and as exciting as that may sound, it wasn't nearly as much fun as this!

Leigh Curry
Vice President National Sales

Leigh Curry is President of Curry Conduit Services, Inc., www.curryconduit.com, a marketing, consulting and industry rep firm specializing in the multifamily marketplace.

Prior to founding Curry Conduit Services, Inc., Leigh spent five years as the Director of Marketing and Conference Services for Multifamily Executive magazine, as well as the Multifamily Executive Educational Conference and the Multifamily Leadership Summit.

Leigh is currently both a member of the National Apartment Association (NAA), as well as an Associate Member of the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC).

Leigh is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

Jennifer James
Director of National Sales

Jennifer joined the SMM Team in July of 2003 as our Director of National Sales. Jennifer has been in the multifamily housing industry since 1997 assisting our industries suppliers of goods and services with their marketing strategies. Responsible for our exhibit, sponsorship and magazine sales, Jennifer will continue in this same capacity for SMM helping to make your SMM experience the most positive and productive it can be.

Barbie Figueroa
Director of Order, Reason & Reality

Barbie joined SMM in 1991. In addition to serving our customers, fulfilling orders, and keeping team communications flowing, Barbie keeps us afloat by managing operations, production and ensuring that the business end of things are taken care of so that we're free to explore new ways to meet the needs of our customers and subscribers. Prior to joining SMM Barbie was the Collections Manager for a large automobile financing company.



Joann Follert
Director of Getting Stuff Done Now!

Joann joined the SMM Team in February of 1992 as a temporary replacement for her sister Barbie, who was on maternity leave. The company grew and things got so busy in that short six weeks that she decided to stay! She's now responsible for customer service, order processing, ensuring that our products reach you where and when you need them, and keeping our daily operations running smoothly by filling in wherever and whenever she's needed. She enjoys the beach, shopping, and baking.

Leslie Zane
Director of Making Stuff Look Good

Leslie joined the SMM Team in November of 1998 as our staff Graphic Designer. Also an accomplished traditional media artist and student, Leslie specializes in digital design, desktop publishing, and bringing our ideas to life in the form of products, marketing materials, publications, and more. A creative adventurer at heart, Leslie's interests include drawing, swimming, mountaineering, film, the performing arts, camping, and canoeing.
